Our Standard

We believe the Bible is a guiding rule for our faith in God's message to humanity. We believe the word of God is inspired and timeless, providing a guide for all cultures and generations. Furthermore, we believe the Bible is infallible (containing no errors) and is the only true and holy standard for measuring faith and conduct.

Our Provision

We believe that all humanity has a sinful nature because of the first man’s (Adam) willful disobedience to God, and as a result, all mankind are born in evil conditions. As children are covered by GRACE until the age of understanding and accountability. All humanity needs redemption through the LIFE offered to us through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

About the Church

Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life among mankind. He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice on the cross for our sins. He arose to life again on the third day and has ascended into heaven. One day, He will return unexpectedly in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. Isaiah 52; John 1:1-18, 29; Acts 1: 9-11; 1 Thessalonians 5: 1-9; Titus 2:13

A Place of Friendship

The Holy Bible was written by men, divinely inspired, and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. The Bible is God’s message to man, revealing the “mind of the Lord”, beyond what can be “clearly understood from the creation”, and “things able to make one wise unto salvation through faith”. The Bible, neither simple history nor textbook, is a supernatural revelation of the creator to his creation. Exodus 24:4; Romans 1:20, 11:33-34, 15:4, 16:25-26; 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 4:12

About the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. He inspired holy men of old to write the Bible. Through illumination, He enables humanity to understand the truth. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows and manifests the spiritual gifts through believers by which we serve God through His church. He proceeds from the Father and the Son and is involved in the creation, the new creation, and raising Jesus from the dead.John 14:15-17; Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

Our Responsibility

We must study, know, share, and defend the teachings of the Bible, as the inspired Word of God. As members of the ‘Springs Gate Chapel,’ the following are statements that we believe, practice, and share. They are summary statements based on what the Bible says about that theme. The views or summaries outlined below are shared by most legitimate fundamental, and evangelical Christian fellowships and organizations worldwide and best elucidate the belief system captured and presented to us through God’s Word. About Salvation

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who believes and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through faith, repentance and confession. Salvation is a gift from God to a man that transforms their former life into a new life in Christ. The doctrine of Salvation is about Man, the creation of God, who was created as good, intelligent, possessing a conscience, self-will, dominion, and responsibility, but became degenerate (fallen) and estranged (separated) from God through disobedience. The story of man’s sin, guilt, shame, and God’s redeeming grace are the sum and substance of the Bible. Sin made man universally vulnerable to sickness, sorrow, and death.Mark 16:15,16; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-11, 13.
